Son of Patrick Granahan and Bridget Kelly. Employed as a conductor on the Lehigh Valley Railroad for 35 years. He was a member of St. Mary's Church and its Holy Name Society, Caxton Welfare Association and Brotherhood of Railway Employees. He is survived by his wife, the former Mary Clark, and the following children: Helen Granahan Mayberry and Joseph A. Granahan of Philadelphia; Mary Granahan, a teacher in Duryea public schools, Rev. Leo Granahan who will be ordained to the Catholic priesthood in June; Agnes Granahan Jordan at home, John Jr. and one grandson Joseph Granahan, Jr. of Philadelphia. The following brothers and sisters also survive: Anna Granahan Clark, Manus Granahan, Bridget Granahan Breeze, and Maria Granahan Manley. Preceded in death by his daughter Anna on September 5,1927
