Marie DAVIS (nee Floyd,) of Fenton, Missouri, was born February 25, 1917, in Warrick County, Indiana, to John W. and Nellie O. (nee Carnahan) Floyd, and entered into rest, Wednesday, January 31, 2007, at Delmar Gardens-Meramec Valley, in Fenton, Missouri, at the age of 89 years, 11 months, and 6 days.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Elton L. Davis, (Married September 20, 1934, in Cynthiana, Indiana), and her son, Wayne Davis. She is survived by two (2) children, Joyce (Charles) Strong, of Hanover, Pennsylvania, Sharon Powell, of Fenton, Missouri, one (1) daughter-in-law, Judy Davis, of High Ridge, Missouri, six (6) grandchildren, Eric (Debbie), Matthew, Kara, Dana, Scott, and David (Carrie), nine (9) great-grandchildren, Douglas, Colleen, Rachel, Kirstan, Samantha, Andrew, Owen, Hailey, and Amber,and many other relatives and friends.
Marie was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church, in High Ridge, Missouri. She retired from Sears in 1974. She is fondly remembered and will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
