MRS. WALT LESLIE, LAKOTA, PASSES
Funeral services were held Monday at Lakota for Mrs. Walter Leslie, wife of ex-postmaster Walter James Leslie. She died Friday afternoon after a lingering fight with cancer.
Mary Irene King was born April 27, 1921 in Truro, Iowa. On October 13, 1921, she was married to Walter J. Leslie at Windom, Minnesota.
She is survived by her husband, a son, Boyd Mulverhill, in the Navy and stationed on the island of Malta; three daughters, Mrs. Earl (Edna) Paulsen, Lakota; Mrs. Edwin (Lois) Schwartz, Swea City, and Mrs. William (Velma) Coombes, Fairmont, Minnesota; eight grandchildren, three brothers and three sisters.
Services were in the Methodist Church in Lakota and burial was at Bancroft Greenwood Cemetery.
