James Byron Park had an artistic nature. He played musical instruments, and taught piano lessons most of his life. He also enjoyed painting, and did many paintings that graced the home of his mother. He lived on Glenshaw Road, with his mother and sister all of his adult life, where he kept up the yard and created and enjoyed his gardens. He belonged to the Bethlehem Lutheran Church. He was always called Jack. Uncle Jack never married. At the time of his death, his mother, two sisters, two nephews, and one niece were still living.
