Ruth was a member of Fourth Street Methodist Church and an active member of the Friendly Center.
She is survived by her three sons, Ray "Buddy" Cahill of N. C., Bob (Maureen) Cahill of St. Charles, Rick (Vicki Kinder) Cahill of Aurora; five grandchildren, Ryan, Julie, Lori, Jason, Jamie; two sisters, Laura Stubbelfield and Edna (Tom) Vipond; one brother, Ray (Darlene) Harvey and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond "Shorty" Cahill, Sr.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, October 12, 2000 from The Healy Chapel. 332 W. Downer Pl. Aurora with Rev. Clyde Galow officiating.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, October 11, 2000 at The Healy Chapel. 332 W. Downer Pl., Aurora. Interment will be at Lincoln Memorial Park.
