Jennifer Denise Newton

Jennifer Denise Newton was born on Aug. 5, 1963, in Richmond, to Roger and Catherine Newton. Jennifer passed away on Monday, March 22, 2010. Jennifer was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church where she remained a member. She was a 1981 graduate of Anacostia High School and was employed by the General Service Administration for over 20 years. Her life was devoted to her daughter, Allycia, giving her the best that a mother could and raising her to be the young adult she is today.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Kevin Newton.
Survivors are her daughter, Allycia Newton; parents, Roger and Catherine Newton; sisters, Beverly Johnson of Forestville, Md. and Vanessa Ball of Clover, S. C.; three nieces, two nephews, five aunts, five uncles, two godchildren, two special friends, two adopted sisters, Lucille and Charlene, and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held March 27 at Lancaster Middle School. Reverend Samuel Hackett officiated and Reverend M. L. Hall, Sr. Eulogist. Interment services were held at the Ebenezer Baptist Church in Sharps. Services of Comfort and Trust entrusted to the Berry O. Waddy Funeral Home.
