She was born March 7, 1915 in Portland, Indiana the daughter of the late Jesse & Della E. (Arnett) Parsons.
She worked for the Brethren Retirement Community for 11 years in the Nursing Department, and she was a member of Castine Church of the Brethren,
She is preceded in death by her parents; Husband: Byron A. Shellabarger on December 12, 1997; Brothers: Francis & Leonard Parsons; Sister: Kathleen Deaton; ½ Brothers: Arnett Bickel, & Harold Parsons.
She is survived by her sons & daughters in law: Marion & Sylvia Shellabarger of Piqua, & Don & Marlyn Shellabarger of Brookville, Ohio; Daughter & son in law: LeAnn & David Nimphie of Branson, Missouri; 10 Grandchildren; 26 Great grandchildren; 2 Great great grandchildren.
Services will be held on Monday April 5, 2010 at 1:30 PM at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville, Ohio with Ryan Shellabarger & Pastor Bob Bitner officiating. Burial will follow in Greenville Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Sunday April 4, 2010 and 1 hour prior to services on Monday at the funeral home.
