On Tuesday evening, December 22nd, Miss Katherine Louise Boland, the daughter of the late F. Glenn Boland, and Mrs. Edith Boland, of Germantown, became the bride of Corp. Elijah Wootton White, of the U. S. Army. The ceremony took place at St. Martin's Rectory in Gaithersburg, with the pastor, the Rev. John Twamley, officiating. The groom is the son of Mrs. Elijah W. White and the late Dr. White, of Poolesville. After a short wedding trip, Mrs. White will take up temporary residence with her mother at Germantown and Corp. White will continue his duties in Washington, where he is now stationed.

Mrs. Catherine White, 70, of St. Petersburg, Fla., formerly of Poolesville, died Thursday, Nov. 28 in Florida.
She was the wife of Elijah (Doc) White. Born in Germantown, she was the daughter of the late Glenn and Edith Welsh Boland.
Surviving besides her husband are one brother, John Boland, Gaithersburg; one sister, Claire Long, Beltsville.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec 3 at Monocacy Cemetery, Beallsville. Local arrangements were handled by Hilton Funeral Home, Barnesville.
