SOUTH BEND - Services for Dean U.S. Sausman , 76, of 19812 Southland Ave., who died at 2:55 p.m. Thursday in the home of his daughter on Druid Lane, will be at 11 a.m. Monday in Hollis-Orvis-Palmer Funeral Home. Burial will be in Southlawn Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. today in the funeral home, where a masonic service will be conducted at 7 p.m. by St. Joseph Masonic Lodge 45. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of St. Joseph County Inc.

Mr. Sausman retired in 1993 from Schuell Fence Co. after 40 years of service. He was born July 10, 1918, in Bremen and was a lifelong area resident.

On July 14, 1939, in South Bend, he married Mary Josephine Brady. She died March 12, 1963. On Aug. 11, 1967, in South Bend, he married Dorothy L. Brady. She died April 9, 1993. He is survived by four daughters, Jodeane Hoffer of Campbellsville, Ky., and Dianna Billhimer, Sandra Sue Westerhouse and Patricia Ann Packer, all of South Bend; a son, Jerry L. Brady of Talmage, Calif.; 11 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

He was a member of St. Joseph Masonic Lodge 45, Scottish Rite Valley of South Bend, Moose Lodge 599, Elkhart; and Orak Temple, Michigan City.
