Passed away at Gila Regional Medical Center in Silver City. Born in Edna, TX., One of 12 children all of whom preceeded her in death. Her parents: Charles and Ruth (Ward) Stepp. Married Jack Hoggett in 1924 in Kimble Co., TX. (SHE WAS A NURSE) They moved to NM in 1925, homesteaded above Animas and raised goats. In 1932 moved to Rodeo so son Charles could go to school. Continued raising cattle and goats. Moved to Lordsburg when her health began to fail, and eventually to Sushine Haven Nursing Home.
Survived by one son Charles, three grandaughters, Calista Kerr, Barbara Hoggett, and Janice Cooper. 5 great-grandchildren, 5 great-great-grandchildren, several neices and many many friends. Special friends at the Sunshine Haven Nursing Home. Preceeded by husband Jack Hoggett in 1960. Graveside service 10 A.M. at Mountain View Cemetery in Lordsburg. Ed Kerr officiating. Arrangements by Curtis-Bright Funeral Home, Silver City.
