Funeral services were held Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at Whitesand Baptist Church for Mrs. Mabel E. Bass, age 100, who passed away December 24, 2016 at the extended care facility in Prentiss, MS. Interment followed in Whitesand Cemetery. Saulters-Moore Funeral Home of Prentiss, MS handled arrangements.
Rev. Charles Burnham officiated. Pallbearers were John Slater, David Lee, Cody Rosser, Thomas Cullom, Curt Bass and Tommy Breland.
Mrs. Mabel was born in Roseland Louisiana on January 7, 1916 to Frank Ellzey and Catherine Smith Ellzey. She was a seamstress for the style shop in Prentiss. She was a member of Whitesand Baptist Church. She is survived by one son: Curtis Webb Bass and wife, Linda of Prentiss, MS One daughter: Mary Kay Magee of Prentiss, MS Seven Grandchildren and Fourteen Great-Grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband and 3 brothers.
