Mildred Davis was born in Frederick County Virginia in 1758. Not much is known about her early years. Mildred married John Suggett in 1772 at the age of 14. She too participated in the defense of Bryant's Station during the American Revolution. Mildred and other women and children left the safety of the Fort during the night to bring water into the encampment. Mildred and the other wives tended the wounded, put out fires and supported their fighting men during the battle. The NSSAR shows her as "rendering aid on the battlefield" during the hostility's. Mildred died in Scott County, Kentucky in 1834. Her gravesite is unknown at this time.
