Paul E. Kramme, Jr., 83, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 24, 2007, at his home in Monroeville, N.J.
He was the husband of Dorothy Peele Kramme, with whom he shared 61 years or marriage.

He was the oldest son of Paul E. and Olive R. Kramme of Monroeville, N.J.

For 58 years he was dedicated to family-owned businesses, serving as president and chairman of Ace Glass Inc. of Vineland, N.J., and president of Kramme Consolidated Inc., of Monroeville, N.J.
He graduated from Woodstown High School in 1941.
A veteran of World War II, he served in the U.S. Army Air Corps as a B-24 bomber pilot.

He graduated from Duke University in 1949, where he was a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity.

He was a former board member of Elmer Bank and Trust Co., and its successor, Midlantic South Bank.

He served as president of the YMCA of Salem County, and coached youth football. He was a member of The Union League of Philadelphia.

In 2003, he was inducted into the Greater Vineland Baseball League Hall of Fame, where he played and coached for many years. He was a lifetime member of Seaview Country Club, and a member of Running Deer Golf Club. He was also chairman of the SPSBB (Society for the Preservation of the Sounds of the Big Bands).

He was devoted to his family, and in addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Susan Seyl of Portland, Ore., and her partner Maryann McCormick; his sons and daughters-in-law, Paul III and Karen of Oxford, Alan and Cindy of Pitman, N.J., his daughter-in-law Diane Kramme of Monroeville, N.J.; his grandchildren, Tabitha Schmidt of Millville, N.J., George Kramme of Woodstown, N.J., Emily McPheron of Columbus, Ohio, Christopher Kramme of Long Beach, Calif., Peter Kramme of Wilmington, Ohio, Ashley Davis of Woodstown, N.J., and Josh Kramme of Monroeville, N.J.; and his step-grandchildren, Christopher Miller of Pitman, N.J., and Danielle and Steffany Miller of Blackwood, N.J. His great-grandchildren include Danielle, Joey, Andrew, Sara, James and Taylor Schmidt. He is also survived by his brothers and sisters-in law, Gerald A. and Joanne of Thorofare, N.J., and Richard G. and Arlene of Elmer, N.J.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his son, Steven.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m.

Saturday, Feb. 3, at the Woodstown Friends Meetinghouse, 104 N. Main St., Woodstown, N.J.

Interment will be private in the Friendship Methodist Church Cemetery in Monroeville, N.J.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to South Jersey Healthcare, Elmer Division, 501 W. Front St., Elmer, NJ 08318; or to the South Jersey Healthcare Hospice Care, 2848 S. Delsea Drive, Vineland, NJ 08360.
