Jerry Amon Myrick, 87, passed away two days shy of his 88th birthday, Sunday, Nov. 24, 2013, due to complications from Alzheimer's disease.
Service: 10 a.m. Wednesday at The Hills Church of Christ.
Graveside service: 3 p.m. Wednesday in City Cemetery in Eastland, TX.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jerry's name to the Alzheimer's Association , Christ Haven for Children, or a charity of your choice.
Jerry was born Nov. 26, 1925. He was born and raised in Cisco on a dairy farm. He served his country in the Army during World War II and worked at Lockheed Martin for over 40 years. He then retired to his farm in Grandview. He was married to Martha Warden Myrick for over 40 wonderful years, and remarried at 78 to Iva Strickland Myrick. The delight of this life was being married to not one, but two incredible women.
Jerry was preceded in death by both of his wives.
Survivors: Daughter, Lisa Myrick Johnson and husband, Russell; son, Tim A. Myrick and partner, Scott Jordan; grandson, Reese Amon Johnson; stepdaughters, Rosa Dulin and husband, Tom, and Graydon Strickland; sister, Jeanette Wright and husband, James; brothers, Jack Myrick and wife, Nelda, and Franklin Myrick and wife, Barbara; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
