Louisa was counted in Hubbardston, Mass. in the 1870 census with her daughter Sarah. In 1880 she was living with Sarah and her husband, Charles A. Spooner, at Leicester, Mass. Since the 1890 census was lost the year Jonas returned home was unclear. In the 1900 census Louisa and her husband Jonas were living in Rutland, Mass. with the Spooner family. Sadly, Sarah would die that very year and the Wilders ended up in Gardner. Louisa would then lose her son Harlan in '05 and her husband followed in '06.
She was recorded in the 1910 census living on Eaton Street, Gardner. Her son-in-law Charles Spooner resided with her as well as a servant, a housekeeper and the keeper's son.
Before her own death she would live to see her son, William, elected to the U.S. House of Representatives in 1911. However they both died in 1913: Louisa in January and William died in office on Sept. 11th.
