SHELBY - Mrs. Barbara Marie Drewery, 75, of 657 McBrayer Homestead Road, died Monday, April 5, 2010, at Hospice Cleveland County.
A native of Cleveland County, she was a daughter of the late Sidney Ralph Holland and Kate Poteat Holland. She had worked at Shelby Seamless and retired from Fasco after 21 years of service. She was a member of Springmore Baptist Church and attended Davidson Memorial Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Jeffrey Wayne Arthur; and sisters, Sue Scruggs and Patsy Holland.
She is survived by her husband, Everette Drewery Jr. of the home; sons, Tony Arthur and wife, Susan, of Lincolnton, Lee Arthur and wife, Lisa, of Shelby and David Arthur and wife, Kim, of Belmont; stepsons, Larry Drewery and wife, Maria, of Cliffside, J.C. Drewery and wife, Sheila, of Lincolnton and Ricky Drewery and wife, Teresa, of Casar; stepdaughters, Glenda McCurry and husband, Ronnie, of Shelby, Martha Burgoyne of Charlotte, Karen Lundy of Shelby, Kathy Rollins and Don Young of Denver and Pamela Strange and husband, Donald, of Cliffside; brother, Steve Holland; 34 grandchildren; and 38 great-grandchildren.
Visitation: The family will receive friends Wednesday, April 7, 6 to 8 p.m., at Cleveland Funeral Services.
