Charles C. Huff, 91, of Elkton, Fla., died April 4, 2010, at Ponce de Leon Care Center. He was born in Milledgeville, Ga., and had resided here most of his life. He was a potato farmer. He and his wife of 70 years, Dorothy Scoville Huff graduated together in the class of 1938 from Hastings High School. They exchanged their wedding vows on April 15, 1939, in a ceremony performed by the Rev. Charles M. White at his home in St. Augustine.
In 1942, Huff enlisted in the Army Air Corps and after nine months of training was commissioned a second lieutenant with the U.S. 8th Air Force where he became a command pilot flying B-24s and later B-17s. He served in the European Theater.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday at Craig Funeral Home, the Rev. Aaron Uitti, officiating. Burial will be in St. Ambrose Cemetery, Elkton. Visitation will be held 5-7 p.m. Wednesday at Craig Funeral Home. He was preceded in death by his sons Michael and William Huff.

In addition to his wife Dorothy he is survived by a son, Charles A. Butch Huff; Elkton; daughters-in-law, Misty Huff, of Viera, Fla., and Linda Huff of Elkton and Denver. The late, JoAnn Huff, of Elkton, was also a daughter-in-law; three grandchildren, Kimberly Rowland of Jacksonville, Jeffrey A. Huff of Eulonia, Ga., and Stephen Huff of Denver. The six great-grandchildren are Marlena and Hannah Rowland; Christy, Joseph, Savannah and Jeffrey C. Huff.
