Silas was the son of the late Charles Henry McFall(s) and Jennie Blanche Craig.

Silas married his only wife Lillian Mae Tolbert on March 24, 1934. Both were kind, loving, and devoted to family. Upon Silas' death, Lillian his wife, died less than a month after him.
