Jesse Walter Lamp was born on 12 October 1905, in Olympia, Thurston, Washington. He was the fourth child born to Frank William Lamp and Ora Alice Winkle. Jesse was baptized on 11 November 1906 at St. Paul's Evangelistic Lutheran Church, in Olympia, Washington.

When Jesse was just 1 1/2-years-old his father was murdered and his mother remarried a year later to George Rasmussen. In 1910, aged 5, Jesse is living at 3057 Austin Street in a rented house in Seattle Ward 12, King, Washington.

Jesse didn't get along his with stepfather and he left home at the young age of 11 in 1916. He went to Oregon and worked in the lumber industry for a few years before moving back to Seattle.

On 3 June 1927, 21-year-old Jesse married 25-year-old Elise Marie Ericksen. They were married in Payette, Payette, Idaho. They had one daughter born to them on 26 Oct 1928 in
Seattle, King, Washington. They divorced soon after their marriage and she refused to let Jesse see his daughter Frances Marie.

In 1930, aged 25, Jesse is living at 1521 7TH Avenue in Seattle, King, Washington. He is living in the household of Margaret Toy and he is also living with an Emma Lamp.

In 1931, aged 25, Jesse is living at 1903 West 10th Avenue apt A, in Seattle, King, Washington. He is working as a Footman for Steven's Garage. On 20 May 1932, in Snohomish County, Washington, Jesse married Emma Margaret Vahlbusch. In 1933, aged 28, Jesse is living at 616 East 70th Avenue. He is a mechanic working at Roosevelt Garage.

Sometime after 1934, Jesse Married Catharine V Lamp. They are living together in 1940 at 4218 Leary Way in Seattle, King, Washington.

On 13 July 1941, 35-year-old Jesse married 25-year-old Anna Mae Wyborney in Yakima County, Washington. They would have 5 daughters born in their marriage.

Jesse and Anna moved to California where they lived for three years before moving to Seattle. While in Seattle he worked as a baker and a cop on Vashon or Mercer Island. They moved to Mabton, Washington where they lived the remainder of their lives. They lived at 214 First Avenue in Mabton, Washington.

On 6 June 1982, Jesse died at the Hillcrest Nursing Home in Sunnyside, Washington. He was 76-years-old when he died.
