EVAN M. HUMPHREYS
URBANA --- Evan M. Humphreys, 65, Urbana resident for the last six years, died at 2:20 a.m. Saturday in his home, 203 W. Water st. His death was a result of coronary thrombosis.
Mr. Humphreys was a member of the Masonic Lodge at New Carlisle, and was a veteran of World War I.
At the time of his death, Mr. Humphreys was a distributor in the Urbana area for the Pure Oil Co.
Born Aug. 17, 1888 in Bethel Township, Clark County, he was a son of Alfred E. and Jessie Minnich Humphreys.
Surviving are his widow, Mary C.; one son, J. C. Humphreys, of Dayton; a daughter, Mrs. C. W. Fraunfelter, of Middletown, O.; two brothers, J. R. Humphreys, of South Bend, Ind.; and Felix, of Springfield; one sister, Miss Mary Humphreys of Springfield, and several grandchildren.
His body was taken to Humphreys funeral home in Urbana where services have been set for 10 a.m. Tuesday. Officiating will be the Rev. Malcolm D. Hooker, pastor of the Urbana Presbyterian Church. Following cremation, interment will be in Glen Forest Cemetery in Yellow Springs.
