He was born February 9, 1914 in Fannin County, Texas to John Eber and Alice Edna Banker Combs.
He was a farmer. He enjoyed fishing, coin collecting, gardening, and selling at flea markets.
He was survived by his wife; daughter, Doloris Ann Combs Ross of Pecan Gap, Texas; a sister, Louise Thomas of Pecan Gap; one granddaughter; one grandson; and one great-grandson.
Graveside services were held at 11 A.M. Wednesday, September 13 at Oaklawn cemetery with Noel Bailey officiating. Interment followed under direction of Delta Funeral Home, Cooper.
The family received friends from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home.
