Born September 14, 1903 in Provo to William and Lovina Dye Ellison.
Married John S. Mitchell on November 24, 1926 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Received education Provo city schools. Worked for Startup Candy Co., Mountain States Tel Co. and Buckley & Haws Plumbing Co. Active LDS Church. Was Primary teacher, Primary president and stake Primary board member. Served in MIA and taught Relief Society.
She enjoyed quilting, knitting, crocheting, and other sewing. Loved to work in her flower garden. Assisted her husband in his business for seventeen years, Mitchell Sheet Metal Works. Worked at Utah State Hospital as a clerk.
Survivors: husband, Provo; two sons and two daughters, J. Earl Mitchell, Alan E. Mitchell, both Provo; Mrs. Kirk (Kathy) Bills, American Fork; Marilyn Bingham, Modesto, California; thirteen grandchildren; twenty-five great-grandchildren; sister, Etta Jones, Salt Lake City.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday at 2:00 p.m. at Berg Mortuary of Provo, 185 East Center Street, where friends may call on Friday from 6:00-8:00 p.m. and Saturday one hour prior to services.
Interment: Provo City Cemetery.
