Edward served as a Second Lieutenant & Co-Pilot on B-24D #42-40144, 380th Bomber Group, U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II.

He resided at 2403 Lamotte Steet, New Castle County, Wilmington, Delaware.

Edward enlisted in the Army on October 23, 1941, prior to the war, at Fort Dix, New Jersey. He was noted as being Married.

B-24D #42-40144, operating from Biggs Army Airfield, crashed due to multiple engine failures caused by severe icing of the carburetors, eight miles northwest of Roswell, New Mexico. Seven other crew members also perished. Only one survived by successful bailout and parachuted to ground without injury.

Edward died in the "Line Of Duty" in this crash during the war.
