Lawrence Bergeron, Jr.

Lawrence Bergeron, Jr., a 65 year old retired teacher , died on Sunday , February 11, 2001 at a local hospital after a short illness. The Basile area native and Basile resident was a school teacher at Basile Middle School for 25 years and was the publisher and editor of the Basile Weekly from Juky 1963 to April of 1968.

He was preceded in death by his wife, the former Carole Hubert, also a retired teacher, his father Lawrence Bergeron, Sr.

He is survived by his mother Ivy LeJeune Bergeron Bergeaux of Basile, one sister Gwen Bergeron Mc Millin of Welsh, one son Eric Bergeron of Basile ; one daughter, Sonia Erica Bergeron of Toledo Bend, three grandchildren, Eric Allen Bergeron, Jr. and Christian Sheree Bergeron, and Clinton James Blanchard of Toledo Bend.
Also survived by one step-brother Richard Richard, one half brother Keith Bergerons, three half sisters Brenda, Sue Ella, and Paula.

He was also a history teacher at Basile Middle School. Codifil sent him to Belgium in 1985 to study French. He then became a French Teacher.
He donated his body to science.
