D. GARLAND TINGLE
D. Garland Tingle, 64, of Belmont Ave., died yesterday in Peninsula General Hospital after a prolonged illness. He was a retired merchant and a son of the late Martha and David Tingle of Salisbury.
Mr. Tingle's wife, Mrs. Nettie Tingle, died two years ago.
Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. David Fields, Mrs. William Boole, and Mrs. Robert Todd, all of Salisbury; three sons, W. F. and Donald R. Tingle of Salisbury and David E. Tingle of Baltimore; several grandchildren, a brother, Jeffe Tingle of Penn's Grove, N.J., and five sisters, Mrs. Virgil Dykes and Mrs. William Littleton of Salisbury, Mrs. Dawson Jenkins of Fruitland, Mrs. Eva Carey, and Mrs. Nellie Layfield of Philadelphia.
The Rev. Carlton M. Harris, pastor of Trinity Methodist Church, will officiate at a funeral service Friday at 2 p.m. from the Holloway Funeral Home. Interment will be in Parsons Cemetery. Friends may call after 7:30 p.m. tomorrow at the funeral home.
