Leslie J. Linn was the son of James Jackson Linn and Mary Jane "Mollie" Robbins Linn. On November 20, 1905, Leslie J. Linn married Daisy Annis Brooks, the daughter of James Brooks and Mary James Brooks. There was two children from this marriage, Olivia Aulene Linn and James "Jim" Lennis Linn.
Leslie and Daisy divorced and Leslie married Mamie Brewis. Leslie was killed July 1, 1911 by shotgun blast by Mamie's father Alex Brewis and her brother John Brewis. The death certificate Homicide. Coroner's report states Unlawful Homicide.
Leslie's brothers, Chester and Webster were crossing the Sayre Alabama Bridge and were ambushed and both killed at the same time September 11,1911. Coroners report states manslaughter in the second degree.
