James F. Crockett, 64, of Gurnee, passed away September 21, 2000 at Condell Medical Center.

    He was born March 25, 1936 in Chicago. Mr. Crockett was a member of Chicago Independent Truck Drivers Union and had been a union steward. He also was a reserve sheriff deputy. He had retired as a truck driver in 1990 from Neilsen Bros. Cartage after 20 years of employment.

    Survived by his wife, Judith; 3 children, David Crockett of Trevor, Wisc., Jeffrey (Suzanne) Crockett of Buffalo Grove, IL and Susan Crockett of Kenosha, Wisc.; 7 grandchildren, Jamie, Sarah, D.J., Ronald, Rachel, Tricia and Jeremy; 1 brother, Bryan Gardner of Wilmette, IL; 1 sister, Virginia Gardner of Oregon; mother, Josephine (John) Gardner of Northbrook, many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his father James and half brother Dennis.

    Funeral services will be held at 11AM, Tuesday, September 26, 2000 at the MARSH FUNERAL HOME OF GURNEE, 305 Cemetery Rd., Gurnee. Interment Warren Cemetery. Visitation 4-9PM, Monday and 10-11AM Tuesday at the Funeral Home. By family request, please omit flowers.
