I believe I have the location of William Jones Owens, which you are looking for. He also had other children including a daughter Sara Elizabeth Owens who is my 2nd great grandmother. Which makes William my 3rd great grandfather too. Look at the 1850 census and you'll see William J Owens (born in New York) with his wife Mary (born in Wales) and their children all born in Ohio: Sarah E, Owen, Esther, William J, Edward B, Martha J, and Joseph H.
My 2nd great grandmother Sarah E. Owens married John Addison Dickinson and is buried with him, along with her father William Jones Owens, in the historic Cave Hill Cemetery in Louisville, KY. This cemetery has a website and you can do a search by name to find his location...it even includes a map.
The 1870 census you reference, I believe is not the same Mary Owens because 2 of the other household children living with her do not match their known children.
William's death date according to my research is sometime in October 1882, his burial date was 10/13/1882.

OWENS - Wm. J. Owens, at 7 p.m., Oct. 11.
Burial private, in Cave Hill Cemetery, at 3 p.m., Oct. 13, from the residence of his son-in-law, 428 Gray st.
