He was the owner and manager of Abbott Garage and a member of Fountain Square United Methodist Church, Muncie.
He is survied by his wife, Lauramay Smith Abbott; a son, Joshua Abbott, Mooreland; his parents, Henry and Wilma Abbott, Mooreland; three sisters, Mrs. David (Holly) Poindexter, Selma, Mrs. David (Jane) Rains, Houston, Texas, and Tracy Abbott, Mooreland; two brothers, Gerald Abbott, New Castle, and Douglas Abbott, Mooreland; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, in Main & Frame Blue River Memorial Chapel. Burial will be in Mooreland Cemetery (November 21, 1990).
