Wayne Edward Brown Jr/, Akron, MI~ Died Sunday, June 14, 2009, at the age of 53. Wayne was born Jan. 12, 1956 to Wayne E. Brown Sr. and Beverly (Rowe) Stratton in Saginaw and was a 1974 graduate of Vassar High School. He was a certified master mechanic. He loved NASCAR, drove demolition derby cars, was an artist, enjoyed hunting, fishing, horseback riding and snowmobiling. He is survived by his parents; children, Angela (David) Hood of Atlanta, GA, Jacob Harris of Fostoria; brother, Richard C. Brown of Cass City; sisters, Diane (David) Thornsberry of Condon, MT, Yvonne (Dan) Simon of Twining, Julie (Kent) Childs of Millington; step siblings, Wayne E. Cuyler, Timmothy M. Cuyler and Patti Jo Pickelmann, all of Sanford Lake; many nephews, nieces and cousins and also a companion, Peggy Leach of Akron. He was preceded in death by stepfather, Duane Donnelly and stepmother, Mary Jo Brown. A Service of Remembrance was held 2 p.m. Friday, June 19 at Avram Funeral Home in Mayville, with Pastor Keith Mead officiating. Memorials may be made to the Family Discretionary Fund.
