Menomonie---Guy H. Hanson, 88, 420 Heller Road, died Wednesday at Myrtle Werth Medical Center, Menomonie.
He was born in Elk Mound and married Inez Tilleson April, 1952, in Iowa. He operated different businesses, including the root beer stand in Boyceville, a grocery store in Eau Claire and a combination restaurant, gas station, bus depot in Elk Mound. He was a Navy (sic...Army) veteran of World War I.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Maurice, Wisconsin Rapids; a daughter, Janice Taylor, Rockford, Ill.; two stepsons, Harold Hencley, Milwaukee, Richard Hencley, St. Paul, Minn.; two step-daughters, Betty Hencley, Colfax, Lois Hencley, Menomonie; a brother, Norman, Elk Mound; and 21 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Goodrich Funeral Home, Menomonie, with burial in Highland Cemetery, town of Menomonie.
Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. Friday and until services Saturday at the funeral home.
The family requests no flowers.
