Ross Foster was one of two sets of twins born to M. O. and Emma Foster. His twin brother's name was Doss Foster and he died at a young age.

Funeral services were conducted for Ross E. Foster at 2 p.m. March 15 in the First Baptist Church, Alex. Rev. Stanley Beaird, assisted by W. R. Spears, officiated. Mr. Foster died March 13 in the Grady Memorial Hospital. He moved from Texas to the Indian Territory near Coalgate, Okla., in 1902 and moved to Alex in 1906. He married Allie Starkey September 8, 1912. He was a retired farmer-stockman and also operated a produce business before entering the grocery business with his brother, John Foster of Alex. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Alex. Survivors are his wife, Allie; one daughter, mrs. Leroy Goyne of Alex; two brothers, Bill and john of Alex; two sisters, Carrie holbrook of Alex and Pearl Thomas of Chickasha; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Interment was in the Bradley Cemetery under the direction of Sevier's Funeral Home.
