"The date on John Q. Adams' headstone is incorrect. He died on 14 June 1890. He enlisted in US Army 15 July 1868. Married Sarah Catherine Sevier 14 Mar 1872 in Christian County, Illinois. Lived in Liberty Montgomery, Kansas 1880. Lived in Independence, Montgomery, Kansas mid-1880's. Died in Joplin, Jasper, Missouri. Buried at Fairview Cemetery, Joplin, Missouri by his son, Charles Harold. Sarah and John had 5 children: Charles Harold, Flora Alice, Laura M., Earl Charles, and Ruby Muriel."
