George Myrick, Sr. was born 07/13/1844 and he died 06/17/1907. The bible has two dates for death: 06/17/1907 and 06/07/1907.* Mary Ann (Rogers) Myrick was born 01/30/1846 in Wales and she died 11/12/1929 at age 83. They lived in Wales 2 years and they came to America in 1869 with two children and settled in Knightsville, IN. Knightsville is known as an area of Welsh coal miners. Married in County Monmouth, Wales 1866. George Myrick had lost a leg in the mine, and then died in a mine collapse. Mary Ann Myrick was run down by an automobile as she rushed to the assistance of a 6 year old. The child and Mary Ann were killed. George and Mary Ann (Rogers) Myrick of Wales had a total of ten children. The children are as follows: William Myrick, Thomas (Tom) Myrick, Helen Myrick, John G. "Jack" Myrick, George Ross Myrick, Jr., William James Myrick, Joseph Myrick, Sr., Harry Myrick, Carolyn Maxine (Myrick) Hayden, Elizabeth (Lizzie) (Myrick) Morris, Orilla Myrick.
