Elizabeth "Lizzie" Dow was the firstborn child ofvthe Dow-Poor union, born in Goffstown NH. She had six younger siblings, most born in Manchester. She married there on June 10, 1869 to John Pearson Scollay.
About 1874 they moved into a new house built in Lawrence MA by her husband. The couple had five children. About 1901 they moved to Methuen MA. Lizzie died in November of 1903, the result of tuberculosis.
