Anita Varos, 85, of Cheyenne died April 30 at Cheyenne Regional Medical Center.
Mrs. Varos was born Jan. 23, 1923, in Valdez, N.M.
She married Clarence Varos on March 27, 1940, in Taos, N.M., and was married for 68 years.
Mrs. Varos was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church and Holy Family Prayer Group at St. Joseph's Catholic Church.
She is survived by her husband, Clarence Varos Sr. of Cheyenne; sons, Clarence Varos Jr., Jimmy Varos and Leo Varos, all of Cheyenne; a sister, Lydia Abeyta of Cheyenne; six grandchildren, Richard Varos, Demain Martinez, Torrey Rogers, Jimmy D. Varos, Sumer Varos and Nathan Varos; and five great-grandchildren, Devin Varos, Eric Varos, Selina Varos, Aleah Varos and Isaac Varos.
Mrs. Varos was preceded in death by a son, Mel Varos; a daughter, Lucy Varos; brothers, Alex Martinez, Filimon Salazar and Ted Salazar; and a sister, Arabella Apodaca.
