Amza was buried at Old Katonah, but that cemetery was closed so that the Croton Aqueduct could be built. All the people at Old Katonah were re-buried in various cemeteries in the area, including Buxton. There are no remaining graves at Old Katonah now, just a few plot markers and headstones.
He married (1) Charity Chauncey.
He married (2) Sarah Jane Handley Turner.
He was the son of Joseph and Anne Fuller Reynolds.
This aged citizen died after a lingering illness, at his home on Cherry street, last Friday, Oct 25th 1889, aged 70 years of heart failure. He was born in Somerstown and with the exception of a few years in Yorktown, nearly all his life has been spent in the same town in which he died. Mr. Reynolds was twice married, and for 38 years he lived with his last companion , who has faithfully tended to his comfort during his long illness. For eight years past he has been a sufferer from heart-disease, at times suffering the most intense pain. About seven years ago he was baptized and joined the M. E. Church.
The names of his surviving children are as follows: Wm. H. Reynolds, of Sing Sing; Joseph Reynolds, of Goldens Bridge; Chauncey O. Reynolds, of Sing Sing; Clark F. Reynolds of Katonah; Lewis Reynolds, of Baldwin Place; and Mrs. Maria Boyce, of West Somers . His funeral services were conducted on Sabbath afternoon. Ge t 27th , in the Katonah M . E. . Church, Rev. W. F. Brush officiating. Notwithstanding the severe storm, a large number of relatives and friends assembled to pay tribute to his memory. His remains rest in the Katonah Cemetery,
