Peggie MacQuirter McKinney, 72 of Monroe, GA, died February 23, 2010 at Rockdale Medical Center in Conyers Georgia. Peggie was born July 14, 1937 in Columbus GA and was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, LTC (Retired U.S. Army) John McKinney and her parents Dan and Jewell Bruner MacQuirter. She graduated from Columbus High School in 1955. She held various clerical jobs, retiring as a Bookkeeper for the family owned business "Snack with Mac Inc". She is survived by her children Crickett Benefield of Monroe GA and John McKinney II and wife Paula of Monroe, GA; grandchildren, J.T, Anna and Samantha Rolling, of Columbus, GA, Matthew and Meagan McKinney of Monroe GA; great grandson, Daylen Rolling of Columbus, GA and her brother L.C. MacQuirter of Americus GA.


Visitation will begin on March 12 at 11:15 a.m. at Wages Funeral Home in Snellville GA, with funeral services to begin at 12:00 p.m. Internment at 2:30 p.m. at the National Cemetery in Canton, GA. Family asks that in lieu of Flowers, donations be made to: www.cancer.org
