Lonnie Wayne Butler went to be with the Lord November 26, 2005. He was born October 30, 1912 in Eldorado, OK to Verge and Aimee Butler. Wayne was a person of strong faith in God and held strongly to that faith through the end. He served in the SeaBees during WWII with the majority of his time on Adak in the Alleutian Islands. He retired from Wilson Meat Packing Co. after working there for 32 years. After retirement Wayne received great enjoyment from helping his family and friends. He was always willing to lend a helping hand. He will be missed by all.

He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Evelyn.

He is survived by a son, David Leon and wife Janie; daughter, Beverly and husband Tom Wells; granddaughters, Sarah, Virginia, and Katherine Wells; sister, Pauline Saunders; brothers, J.C. Butler and Don Butler; sister-in-law, Margaret Hooley; brothers-in-law, Sonny Jeffreys and John Jeffreys; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, November 29, 2005 at Bill Merritt Memorial Chapel in Bethany, OK. Interment following in Kolb Cemetery.
