Frederick News-Post - March 17, 1930

Mrs. Carrie W. Poole, 55, wife of W. Wallace Poole, died early Thursday morning at her home in Poolesville, from apoplexy, with which she was stricken twelve hours before. Mrs. Poole had just returned to her home from a meeting of the Guild of St. Peter's Episcopal church, Poolesville, and seemed in the best of health.

The funeral was held at 11 a. m. Saturday at St. Peter's church. Burial was in Monocacy cemetery at Beallsville.

Besides her husband, she is survived by a daughter. Miss Virginia Poole, who is a member of the faculty of the public school at Somerset, Montgomery county; a son, Wallace Poole, of Baltimore; three brothers, Harry M. Williams, of Poolesville; Otis Williams, of Round Hill, Va., and Dr. Frank Williams, of Oklahoma, and four sisters, Ann Edmondston and Mrs. Walter Pyles, of Poolesville; Mrs. Wilson Ward, of Rockville, and Mrs. Carter Clagett, of Potomac.
