Enlisted in the Confederate Army for 3 years. by Capt. B.F. Grigg at Wilmington, NC on 2 Mar 1863. Co F, 56th Regt., NC

Inf., CSA.
Contracted typhoid fever while in service. Came home to recuperate. Had a relapse following a family celebration to welcome him home and died.
