Funeral service for Harold Cappleman Polk, 80, of Chickasha, Oklahoma will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, June 15, 2007 in the Chapel of Sevier Funeral Home.

Harold Cappleman Polk was born September 20, 1926 in Singleton, Texas the son of Horace and Sallie (Cappleman) Polk and died June 12, 2007 in Chickasha.

Mr. Polk had lived in Chickasha for 54 years. He and Thelma Stover were married February 14, 1953 in Ninnekah, Oklahoma.

Mr. Polk worked at Tinker Field in the late 1940's. He worked at the Federal Aviation Agency at Will Rogers Airport until his retirement in 1979. Mr. Polk then served as a reserve officer from 1963-2005 for the Chickasha Police Department.

He was a 32nd Degree Mason at McAlester Consistory, and a member of the Chickasha Masonic Lodge #94. Mr. Polk was also a member of the American Legion and a member of the First Baptist Church.

He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.

Mr. Polk was preceded in death by: Parents; one sister;

Survivors include: Wife: Thelma Polk of the home; one son and daughter-in-law: Dennis and Karen Polk of Moore.

Interment will be in the Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home.
