CHESAPEAKE, VA - Jean Roberts Heath, 73, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, April 1, 2010 at Chesapeake Regional Medical Center. Born in Coinjock, NC, she was the daughter of the late Oscar and Eva Gregory Roberts and was predeceased by her brothers, Oscar Roberts and Kenneth Roberts and her father and mother-in-law Eldon Burgess Heath and Lucille Heath. Jean retired from QVC. She enjoyed scrap booking, crocheting and spending time with family. She was a member of Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church.
Jean is survived by her husband of 53 years, Bobby Lee Heath; her children, Jeanette Heath Walsh, Wayne Heath, Arnold Heath, Lee Heath and Kimberly Heath-Shoup; seven grandchildren; two sisters, Audrey Forbes and Stella McHorney.
The funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Monday, April 5, 2010 at the Great Bridge Chapel of Oman Funeral Home & Crematory, 653 Cedar Road, Chesapeake. Rev. Tom Mercer and Rev. Robert "Bob" Pihlcrantz, will officiate; interment in Chesapeake Memorial Gardens.
The viewing will begin on Saturday with the family receiving friends from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
