John, who resided at R.F.D. 2, Seaford, Delaware served as a Sergeant on B-25G (#42-64959), U.S. Army Air Force during World War II.

He enlisted in the Army on September 24, 1942 in Camden, New Jersey. He was noted as being employed as a Carpenter and as Single, without dependents.

John died in the "Line Of Duty" when his B-25 crashed during training near Columbia, South Carolina during the war. He was training to be a radioman and gunner.

He had been the the Air Force for two years and four months at the time of his death.
