Obituary for Laura Hurst Hall

Funeral for Mrs. Laura Hurst Hall, 100, of Nacogdoches, will be at 3 p. m. today at Cason Monk-Metcalf Sunset Chapel wit the Rev. Jim Prosperie, pastor of Melrose Baptist Church, and the Rev. Bill Stuart, pastor of Faith Christian Church, officiating. Burial will be in Lower Melrose Cemetery.

Mrs. Hall Died Nov. 15, 2002, in Nacogdoches.

She was born Dec 11, 1901 in Nacogdoches to Evan Harlan Hurst and Eula Irene Stewart. She was retired as an owner of a grocery store and was affiliated with Melrose Baptist Church. She was married to Grover Hall and he preceded her in death in 1980. Mr. and Mrs. Hall were married for 60 years and lived most of their lives in Melrose, where they operated a grocery and feed store for many years. Mrs. Hall was also preceded in death by her son, Hurchal Hall, who passed away at 16 years of age and grandson Bill Stuart Jr.

Survivors include her son, Grover C. Hall. Jr., daughters, Edna Morton, Joyce Clarica Stuart and Bottie Scott. 11 Grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and 9 great-great-grandchildren.

Active pallbearers will be Mrs. Hall's grandsons and grandson-in-law.
Music will be provided by Evelyn Hall.
Visitation will be from 12 until 3 p.m. today.
