Mrs. Alta M. Chappell-Formerly of 411 E. Walnut-Passed away Sunday morning at Borgess Hospital. She was born January 9, 1888 in Wexford County, daughter of Ezra C. and Alta Coblentz. She had made her home in Kalamazoo since 1918 and she was married to Harry Chappell who preceded her in death in 1964. Surviving are : four sons, Louis, South Haven; Delbert of Otsego; Dale of Santa Barbara, Calif.; and Clare of Portage; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; two brothers, Francis Coblentz of Charlevoix and Willis Coblentz of Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania. Friends are being received at the Joldersma & Klein Funeral Home, where services will be held Wednesday at 10:30, Rev. Charles R. Hulbert officiating. Burial is Riverside Cemeter, Dowagiac.
