He was born May 11, 1904 in Manawa, the son of the late Joseph and Mary (Gresen) Weller.
In 1931 Gustave was united in marriage to Regina Rogalla. She preceded him in death on September 27, 1934. He then married Lila Brooks in 1941 in Fond du Lac. She survives.
In addition to his wife, survivors include 12 children, Gustave, Jr., Wittenberg, Joannie (Maynard) Witkowski, Wittenberg, Rosalie (Raymond) Dudzik, Tigerton, Shirley (Michael) Geiser, Sheboygan, Richard, Wittenberg, Ronald, Eland, Diane (Charles) Rogalla, Eland, Constance (Gerald) Dilge, Junction City, Katherine (Ernst) Rogalla, Eland, Michael, Oklahoma, Gregory, Theresa, WI and Mark, at home; grandchildren; four brothers, Frank, Rainer, OR, Herman (Ruby), Florida, Edwin (Lorna), Eland and George (Ethel), Wittenberg; five sisters, Celia Krenn, Fond du Lac, Emily (Edward) Flaig, Shawano, Mary (Onufry) Wanta, Wittenberg, Clara (Raymond) Klemen, Appleton and Mrs. Fred Beckman, Clintonville.
Gustave was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Joe and Alfred and one sister, Georgeann.
Funeral services were held May 21, 1973 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Galloway. The Rev. Roy Mish officiated.
