Mrs. Lorena Beatty, 71 Died At Home In Sharpsville
Mrs. Lorena Beatty, widow of the late Bert Beatty of Sharpsville died Tuesday evening about 9:30 o'clock at her home in Sharpsville, where she had been seriously ill for the past week having suffered a stroke of paralysis a week ago Wednesday.
Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock at the Presbyterian Church in Sharpsville. Burial will be in the Sharpsville Cemetery.
Mrs. Beatty, was the daughter of Stewart and Lucinda Ward and was born March 2, 1860 and celebrated her 71 birthday March 2. She is survived by six children, two daughters and four sons. Mrs. Myrtle Walker and Roma and Frank Beatty of Kokomo, Eva at home, Charles of Sharpsville, and Stewart Beatty of Ottowa, Illinois. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and seven brother and sisters, Mart Ward of San Francisco, California; William and James Ward of Lafayette, John of Frankfort, Tom of Walkerton, Mrs. Sophia Watson of Greensburg and Mrs. Mary Calhoun of Atlanta.
The husband has been deceased three years. Mrs. Beatty was one of the fine Christian women of the community and was a member of the Baptist Church.
