T. Scott Brandom, 48, Kansas City North, passed away March 30, 2010, at Liberty Hospital. Memorial services will be 5:00 p.m. Saturday, April 3, 2010, at the McGilley Antioch Chapel where a visitation is scheduled from 3:00-5:00 p.m. Private inurnment will be at a later date in Mt. Moriah Terrace Park Cemetery.

Scott was born July 4, 1961, the fifth child of Ann and Bill Brandom. Scott grew up in the Northland, graduating from North Kansas City High School and Finnely Engineering College with a degree in Civil Engineering. He met the love of his life, Susan Otto and they were married in 1987. They have three sons, Joshua, Joel and Jacob. Scott was an engineer for the city of Gladstone for 10 years before retirement.

While assisting Susan with the raising of their three sons, Scott's focus grew towards helping others and local charities. Scott supported the Clay County Clothes Closet, The Harvest Ball Society, Food for Families, Ian's Rainbow and took a special interest in Hillcrest Transitional Housing. Scott and Susan spent their time rehabbing the Wyandotte facility until his illness two years ago. They were selected as the "Volunteers of the Year" in 2007. Scott was also an Elder at the Levi's House Church.

Susan and her family would like to thank the staff of Clinton Care in Plattsburg MO, Liberty Hospital and KU Medical Center for their compassion while tending Scott's and the family's needs during his illness. Scott was preceded in death by his parents, Ann & Bill Brandom, his father-in-law, Bob Otto, niece Betsy Brandom and a nephew Kevin Couch. He leaves behind his wife Susan, sons, Joshua, Joel and Jacob, mother-in-law, Joyce Otto, brothers, Bill Brandom and wife Cindy and Bob Brandom and wife Linda, sisters Deb Miller and husband Loren and Laura Couch and husband Mike, brother-in-laws Bob Otto and wife Carole, Mike Otto and wife Lola and Gehrig Fry. Scott also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews who loved him dearly.
