Born at Stith, Texas, Alice was the daughter of Bill and Jewell Bankston Dunagin. On October 5, 1946, she married Howard E. Cook. He preceded her in death November 11, 1994. She lived most of her life in Abilene. A sales clerk for Anthony's Department Store for many years, she retired in 1980. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
Survivors include a daughter Trinia Cook of Abilene; a sister, Dorothy McCraw of Abilene; and three nephews.
She was preceded in death also by a brother, W. M. Dunagin.
